Our farm currently sits on almost 42 acres situated between Springfield and Republic in the Ozark Hills. We are bordered on the South by Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield, where on August 10th, 1861, a 6-hour battle took the lives of an estimated 2,330 soldiers. At the time of the Civil War, the area was referred to as “Oak Hill” and many of the local papers referred to the battle there as “The Battle At Oak Hill.”
